Monsters on postcards and thrift store paintings!!!

Monsters on stuff I started doing these years ago with the kids. I think maybe it was on a family vacation on Fire Island. (top postcard, below and some others further down...) It was really fun for the whole family for, like, 17 minutes. Then the kids were off to something else and I found myself stuck here. In this beautiful place.  Over the course of the years, as my art has dealt with political and social issues and language and semiotics and other things that require more head scratching from me, it's been nice to have a couple of bodies of work that spring forth from a place of whimsy.
